Richard Doucette passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born on November 22, 1949, in Chamberlain, South Dakota, Richard was the beloved son of Joseph and Marie Doucette. He grew up in Haverhill, MA and went on to build a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion to those he loved.
Richard is survived by his wife, Maureen, as well as his three children and their spouses: Bridgette and Joshua Blanchard, Richard and Ariel Doucette, and Jared and Rachel Doucette. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jameson, Abigail, Charlotte, Maria, Amelia, Isaiah, Zachariah, Carter and Oliver. He also leaves behind step-grandchildren, Molly and Lucy. His grandchildren were a constant source of joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Sandra Annan and Dorothea and Raymond Collette, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.
Richard was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Doucette and Carole Armstrong, as well as his niece, Heather Annan.
Throughout his life, Richard worked as a master carpenter on Broadway in New York City. He worked on many shows including A Chorus Line, Beatlemania, Gypsy, Le Cage aux Folles, and Lorelei where he met his wife. Richard also worked on movies such as The Crucible and Jaws 4. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
Richard’s legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
